7 Big Changes You'll See at Starbucks This Year

Since 1971, when it made its first cup of freshly roasted coffee, Starbucks has grown into one of the world's biggest and best-known chains.

The brand is always growing, both in the U.S. and abroad, and it is fully committed to a multi-decade company growth plan that focuses on sustainability and the overall customer experience.

This year, Starbucks has a few plans to improve its food and drinks, make its shops more efficient, help its employees, and grow its loyal fan base.

1. An Upcharge for No Water

2. New Ice and Upgraded Drink Toppings

3. Expanded Delivery Channels

4. Upgraded Food

5. Inclusivity & Diversity

Starbucks has advocated for the Equality Act, opposed discriminatory policies, hired LGBTQIA2+ partners, and provided them with inclusive healthcare.

6. Even More Expansion

Starbucks has many unique cafes worldwide and many in the U.S., but it's not done expanding. According to QSR Magazine, it will dedicate 90% of new shop expansion to drive-thrus in 2023.

7. Company Innovation & Sustainability Plans

Starbucks has big plans to stop using single-use paper and plastic cups and switch to reusable packing. This will keep millions of disposable items out of landfills.
